Instrument Rating

Instrument Rating refers to the flight and navigation of the aircraft solely by instruments. This rating gives you the ability to takeoff through low fog layers, fly through clouds and stormy conditions, and land at an airport that you may otherwise not be able to if you were flying under Visual Flight Rules (VFR).  Even if you are not planning on flying in adverse weather conditions, obtaining your instrument rating will truly make you a better pilot overall, and if you are ever caught in adverse weather, you will be much better prepared.
